If you’re based in Dorset and I am anywhere in the UK can we work effectively together?

Of course, I stay in touch with my clients through regular communication by, email, phone or video calls – or a mixture of all three – whatever works best.  I have customers around the country and we have got know each other really well and how we like to work together and we haven’t met face to face.

What happens if we aren’t the right fit to work together?

If, unfortunately the working relationship doesn’t seem to work out then the contract can be cancelled with a months’ notice at any time. 

Do I have to agree to a set number of hours each month?

Not at all!  We can work on a ‘pay as you go’ basis where you only ever pay for what you use on an ad hoc basis.  Should you chose to opt for the monthly retainer of an agreed set number of hours then these are guaranteed for you to use each month, but don’t worry if you don’t use all of them we can roll what hasn’t been used over to the next month to fit in with the demands of your business.

Do you work on-site at all Or are you based only from your office?

For minute taking I will attend the meeting on site unless you opt for remote minute taking which is an option!  Other onsite work will be considered depending on the amount of time needed to be onsite.

How far would you travel to attend meetings for minute taking?

It very much depends on the frequency of the meeting, for Board meetings that only take place monthly or a few times a year then I am happy to travel as needed. 

What are your normal working hours?

My normal working hours are between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday – however, by agreement work outside of these hours would be considered.

How do I know that my business information will be safe with you?

All of my electronic devices are encrypted and I either save data on the cloud or on encrypted drives.  Any documents with sensitive data are password protected.  Should there be any need for me to keep a hard copy documents then they are stored in lockable fireproof filing cabinets.

Do I have to sign a contract with you?

Yes, I have terms of business agreement and terms and conditions which will form our contract.

I am looking for someone to help me with invoicing and credit control, are you registered for Anti Money Laundering (AML) Regulation?

Do you have a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement?

Yes, I do.  I will not discuss my clients or the work that undertake with any other client or business.  Where I feel there may be a conflict of interest I will declare this to the clients involved, this however, is generally not a problem as although I may work with similar businesses or charities, just like accountants or solicitors, you can rest assured that your business information or clients will not be discussed inappropriately.

Are you insured?

I certainly am! My insurance cover includes professional indemnity and cyber security.  Full details can be provided on request.
